      Description

JIRA has a REST API to allow users to update JIRA issues externally of JIRA. See https://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/

An example of this using the 'curl' program is:

      curl -D- -u JIRA-USER:JIRA-PASSWORD -X PUT --data "{\"fields\":{\"customfield_10002\":[\"500C000000Ofx4gIAC\"]}}" -H "Content-Type: application/json" http://MYJIRA.COM/rest/api/2/issue/TEST-1

Note that the value being set into the Case field (customfield_10002) is a Saleforce record ID and is 18 digits long. All Salesforce record Ids are either 18 or 15 digits long. Saleforce users are probably more familiar with the 15 digit form of the ID since that is what they see in their browser's URLs when using Salesforce.

It would be nice if the CRM plugin would allow REST API calls to use the 15 digit form of the record IDs in addition to the 18 digit form.
